Here is a short biography for those with nothing else to do: my website is greenleaftax dot com wherein I post to a blog on a somewhat regular basis... I graduated from Morris Harvey College in 1974 with a degree in accounting. I worked for a few years in public accounting and as the Treasurer of Morris Harvey and decided to go back to school for an MBA at Marshall University. After I completed my MBA in 1980, I taught Finance, Accounting and Statistics at West Virginia State University until 1985 or so. I was appointed City Treasurer of a small city (Nitro WV) which I performed on a part-time basis while developing my practice. I have been a tax practitioner for over 30 years and from the looks of things as I write this, we are going to be very busy the next few years. For 12 years I ran the tax department for the Sheriff of Kanawha County (the largest in the state). After a new Sheriff was elected in 1996 I went into private practice exclusively. I now operate out of a new office building that I own. I have an excellent staff which is more than I deserve. Were it not for my assistant, I would never be where I am supposed to be, on time. My practice consists of small and medium sized business clients and high net worth individuals. I also represent taxpayers involved in nasty disputes with the IRS. It is quite fun.
